Ednah Holt - Serious Sirius Space Party
Ednah Holt – Serious Sirius Space Party
(West End, USA, 1981)
This was one of Larry Levan's classics at the Paradise Garage. I love the galactic P-funk sound the song has. Released on West End, of course.

It might be surprising to find this tune on my page, but I must admit I like this track a lot, and I consider it to be very emblematic of the time I worked in the trendy record shop "Chez Youri", where we had all the French DJs trying to find new gems.

Serge Gainsbourg - Discophotèque
Serge Gainsbourg - Discophotèque
(Philips, France, 1977)
One of the very few disco tracks ever composed by Serge Gainsbourg. Initially written for the score of the semi-erotic movie "Madame Claude", it was probably not supposed to be played in clubs. Nevermind, more than 30 years after its release, we can enjoy it on the dancefloor.

New Musik – 24h from Culture
(GTO, UK, 1981)
Wow ! Very amazing slow paced electro tune released in the beginning of the 80's by this European group. It has been put on a B side of an obscure 7" -it also exists on a rare 12"- and it sounds like it has been produced a few years ago, don't you think ?
